How to Use the Accessibility Toolbar on Televeda

Last updated on Aug 21, 2026

This guide will explain how to find and use the accessibility toolbar, including all of its built-in features and keyboard shortcuts.

Where to Find the Toolbar

  1. Look for the accessibility icon in the lower-left corner of any page on live.televeda.com.

  2. Click it to open the Accessibility Help Desk panel on the right side of your screen.

The panel has two tabs:

  • Report Issue – for telling us about a problem you ran into

  • Personalization Tools – for changing how the site looks and works for you

1. Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If something on the site is hard to see, hear, or use, click the Report Issue tab and fill in the form:

  • Name – your name (required)

  • Email – so we can follow up with you (required)

  • Assistive Technology – choose "Digital accessibility" if you use a screen reader, screen magnifier, or similar tool, or "Something else" if not (required)

  • Describe the issue – tell us what happened and where (required)

  • Phone – optional, in case we need to call you

Check the box agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then submit the form. Our team will review it and get back to you.

2. Personalizing Your Experience

Click the Personalization Tools tab to open a set of tools you can turn on or off to make the site easier to use. Click Reset at any time to return everything to the default settings.

Seeing Where You Are on the Page

  • Focus – draws a colorful box around the button or link you have selected, so it is easy to see where you are as you move through the page.

  • Cursor – makes your mouse pointer bigger and easier to track on screen.

  • Highlight – adds a bright color behind headings, links, or all the text on the page, so it stands out more clearly.

Adjusting Color and Contrast

  • Contrast – choose between Hi-Con (high contrast), Desaturate (black and white), or Invert (flipped colors) to make text and images easier to see.

  • Color Shift – shifts the colors on the page, which can help if you have trouble telling certain colors apart.

Reducing Motion

  • Animation – pauses moving or flashing content on the page, which is helpful if animations are distracting or uncomfortable for you.

Adjusting Text

  • Text Size – makes the body and headline text on the page larger and easier to read.

  • Spacing – adds more room between words and lines of text.

  • Font – changes the typeface used on the page, including an option designed to be easier to read for people with dyslexia.

Focusing on One Part of the Page at a Time

  • Guide – adds a horizontal line that follows your cursor, helping you keep your place while reading.

  • Window – dims most of the page and keeps a small area around your cursor clear, so you can focus on one section of text at a time.

Understanding Images

  • Images – shows you the written description of a picture when you hover your cursor over it. This is the same description a screen reader would read aloud.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • If you prefer using your keyboard instead of a mouse, turn on Show shortcuts at the top of the Personalization Tools tab.

Compatibility with Assistive Technology

The toolbar is built to work alongside assistive technology you may already use, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation. You do not need to install anything separately. If something is not working well with your assistive technology, please let us know using the Report Issue form above.
